Driving the Amazing 17 Through Northern Norway. But Enough is Enough
Leaving behind Lofoten Islands also meant leaving behind the crowds. We took the ferry from Moskenes to Bodø and onwards the famous Atlantic Road.

The End of Our Scandinavian Summer
We made quick work of our jaunt through the rest of Norway with a delightful but short stop in Oslo, and an even briefer trip through Sweden. We had torrential rain from the minute we entered Sweden until the minute we left, so really nothing to report on this blog about our time there, we

What Are We Going to Do Now: Brexit and The Impact on Our Travels
It is safe to say that if Britain leaves the EU and ends freedom of movement for EU citizens then new rules will apply to UK passport holders like us in the European Community. That will curtail our ability to travel all over Europe full time as we have in the past since we would…

We preferred the idea of a more epic journey travelling up through Finland to the Arctic, touch the “top of Europe” at Nordkapp and then meander back…

It runs between Würzburg and Füssen and while the route may not have a long term history, the towns along it certainly do along with oodles of charm. We followed the route from south to north, Füssen to Würzburg.

A Glimpse of Austria, and Summer Finally Arrives in GAP
After our Italian Lakes adventures it was time to start making tracks north. It was much colder and wetter than was seasonal for the time of year so we decided to get some kilometers under our belt. We have a ferry already booked to Sweden from Rostock in Germany and time was marching on.
